The minister said Cuba’s power grid had entered a ‘critical’ state.

‘We have absolutely no fuel [oil], and absolutely no diesel … The impact of the blockade is indeed causing us significant harm… because we are still not receiving fuel.’ Later on Thursday, the Cuban government said officials met at the Interior Ministry with CIA Director John Ratcliffe in Havana with a goal of improving bilateral cooperation. The meeting took place ‘in a context marked by the complexity of bilateral relations, with the aim of contributing to the political dialogue between both nations,’ according to a Cuban statement read.
